WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State men's tennis won their first match against a Top 25 team since they beat No. 12 Oklahoma State in 1985 by controlling their home court and upsetting No. 22 Memphis, 5-1, at the Coleman Tennis Complex on Friday.

The Shockers travel to Tulsa, Okla., next week to face UTSA on March 13th and host No. 50 Tulsa on March 14th. Times have not been set for the matches yet.
 
Doubles
A switch in the lower duos produced results for the Shockers today. Orel Ovil moved up to No. 2 and paired with Luka Mrsic to take on Memphis' Pallares/Sydow and win the first match of the day, 6-3.
 
The All-American duo of No.32 Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa won their fourth match in a row by topping the Tigers' Cutting/Stevenson, 6-2.
 
Singles
The Shockers controlled the middle of the lineup and won from 2-to-5 to take home the win. Orel Ovil won the first singles match for the team on the fifth line by topping Pau Fanlo, 7-5, 6-1. Murkel Dellien soon followed with a victory of his own at No. 3, 6-3, 6-0, and the clinch came courtesy of Nicolas Acevedo, who won his serve to ensue the team pileup, 6-4, 6-2.
 
Stefan Latinovic was ensnared in a tight match while this was happening. Every one of his sets was decided in a tiebreak, and he pulled out the win with a strong showing in a ten-point third set, 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-4.)
