Revenge Against Denver Gives Shockers Second Ranked Win

WICHITA, Kan. - No. 34 Wichita State men's tennis split the season series with No. 45 Denver by beating them 5-2 at the Coleman Tennis Complex on Saturday.
 
Doubles
The Shockers were able to win the doubles this time around. The duo of Marius Frosa and Murkel Dellien avenged their loss in Denver with a 6-4 win versus the Pioneers' Summers/Davis. Stefan Latinovic and Nicolas played their fourth match together this season and won at three to clinch the point, 6-3.
 
Singles
Dellien and Frosa were once again a lethal duo at the premier courts. Dellien won his seventh in a row over Mattia Ros, 6-1, 6-2, and Frosa won his second on a row with a win over Davis, 6-2, 6-2.
 
Nicolas Acevedo endured a tiebreak in the first set and put away Denver's Sallay in the second, 7-6 (7-1), 6-3. Orel Ovil and Luka Mrsic both had three-set affairs, with Ovil downing Krulig, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, and Mrsic not able to outlast Herrero, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8)
