WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State women's tennis was bested for the first time this season when they lost to the Iowa State Cyclones, 7-0, at the Wichita Country Club on Friday.

Doubles
The Shockers took an early 1-0 lead on all three courts. Iowa State stormed back on three to win the first doubles match, 6-2. On the top court, No. 23
Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and
Marta Bellucco went down 3-1 and forced their way to 4-3, but they were not able to clinch the court and lost, 6-4.
Ting-Ya Hsu and Jie Xie Zheng were able to take the lead after being down 4-3 and the match went unfinished with them ahead, 6-5.

Singles
The Shockers fell behind early in singles and failed to recover. On the premiere court Saidhujaeva proved to be a tough out after losing the first set. She managed to take a lead in the second and gave ISU's Naklo problems before she ultimately pulled out the win, 6-2, 7-5.
Alexandra Lazarova forced a third set on six after winning a tiebreak in the second set. A 10-point tiebreak was played and the Cyclones pulled it out, 6-4, 6-7(4), 1-0(4).
