The Shockers finish the season with a 19-10 record, 13-7 in American conference play.
Â
The match included two thrilling sets and two comfortable WSU victories. In the first, the Shockers fought off set point at 25-24 thanks to a kill from

Natalie Foster kills. But Memphis scored three straight points to salvage the set, getting kills from three different players to snatch a 29-27 win.
Â
WSU answered emphatically in the second set, rolling to a 25-14 decision. Two separate 4-0 runs put the Shockers in control, and Rohling hammered home six kills on just eight swings to pace the WSU attack. Wichita State had a match-best 71% sideout percentage in the second, evening the match at a set apiece.
Â
The Shockers took control in the third set thanks to the efforts of
Brylee Kelly, who posted seven kills, two solo blocks and a service ace. With WSU facing set point at 24-23, Kelly drilled a kill and then dropped in an ace off the tape to set the stage for Foster, who clinched the set with a powerful kill of her own.
Â
WSU dominated the fourth set from start to finish. An early 7-0 run forced a Memphis timeout, but the Tigers never got closer than five at any point in the set. Foster was superb, notching seven kills and hitting .778 in the process. Late in the set, the Shockers subbed in senior
Lexi Hogan and
Skylar Goering, both playing in their final match as Shockers. Goering promptly finished off the win with a booming kill down the sideline.
Â
Fellow senior
Bryn Stansberry also played in her final match, reaching double-figures with ten digs.
Â
Kelly and Foster each finished with 18 kills, while Memphis got 14 apiece from Tabytha Toelke and Autumn Hamilton. Kelly had six solo blocks and three aces, while
