WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State sophomore setter Kayce Litzau was named to the American Weekly Honor Roll following a pair of excellent performances on Friday and Sunday, the AAC announced Monday.
 
Litzau helped the Shockers to a split of two matches over the weekend, as WSU dropped Friday's battle with UCF before rebounding to sweep South Florida. The native of Greendale, Wisc. delivered a herculean effort on Friday, handing out 51 assists over the course of five sets, her second-highest total of the season. Litzau also added 14 digs to record her sixth double-double of the campaign.
 
On Sunday, Litzau guided Wichita State to a sweep of South Florida thanks to a balanced and efficient offensive attack. The Shockers hit .333 for the match, thanks in large part to 35 assists from the sophomore setter, the most assists for Litzau in a three-set match this season.
 
For the year, Litzau ranks fifth in the American with 9.31 assists per set, compiling 391 total assists at a .372 clip.
 
The Shockers return to action on Friday night in Memphis against the Tigers. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 PM and can be streamed live on ESPN+.
