ORLANDO, Fla. – Wichita State saw their eight-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon in Orlando, falling to UCF 25-11, 25-14, 25-17.

The Shockers (14-7, 8-4) never led in the match, as UCF raced out to leads of 8-1, 12-4, and 11-5 in the three sets. The Knights (18-6, 11-1) hit .487 as a team, getting 18 kills on 27 swings from preseason player of the year McKenna Melville and five or more kills from six players.

Natalie Foster led the way for Wichita State, picking up eight kills on 11 total attacks, hitting .727. UCF held the Shockers to a .087 hitting percentage, including a -.029 mark in the first set.

Kayce Litzau handed out 23 assists, but no Shocker managed more than five digs. The Knights recorded ten blocks to the Shockers two.
