WICHITA, Kan. – A new giving fund named the Shocker Pride Fund has been established to allow donors to provide aid directly to the athletic department to help reduce current and future financial ramifications due to the pandemic.

"As we all continue to navigate through unprecedented times, Wichita State Athletics would like to thank all of our supporters for their continued contributions, impact and loyalty during this time," said Darron Boatright, Director of Athletics. "Although considerable monetary adjustments to daily operations have been implemented, Shocker Athletics continues to navigate through ongoing financial challenges."

By giving to the Shocker Pride Fund, supporters will be safeguarding the future of our student-athletes as well as helping to sustain the proud tradition of Shocker Athletics. Supporters wishing to provide assistance for COVID-19 related item relief, may do so by providing a tax-deductible gift to the Shocker Pride Fund. This fund will directly benefit the overall operation of Shocker Athletics, while also providing relief in essential areas that have been and may continue to be directly impacted by COVID-19. Please consider helping overcome the financial challenges and maintain our pursuit of excellence.

Along with the tax-deductible benefit, supporters will receive one (1) Shocker Priority Point for every $100 donated to this fund. Contributions will not count toward other current or future annual giving memberships or pledges and may not be transferred from other funds.
