TEMPE, Ariz. - Wichita State women's tennis ended its four-game road swing by dropping a dual to Rice, 4-0, at the Whiteman Tennis Center of Saturday.
 
Doubles
Similarly to yesterday, the Shockers fell behind early in doubles against the Owls. Rice won on courts one and three to clinch the point. Lingwei Kong and Esther Thebault were only down one game to the Rice tandem, but the dual went unfinished, 6-5.
 
Singles
The Shockers were competitive on a couple of courts against the Owls. Both Marta Bellucco and Lingwei Kong had first set victories against their opponents and were either up or tied in the second set when the dual was decided. Rice sprinted out to wins on court four, six, and three to complete the sweep of the Shockers and deny Bellucco and Kong with potential wins on their courts.
