WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State women's tennis travels to Tempe, Ariz., to face No. 18 Arizona State on Feb. 14 and Rice on Feb. 15 at the Whiteman Tennis Center.

• Wichita State enters the weekend 1-6 on the year. with one loss being against No. 14 Oklahoma State and the other to a Kansas team that is receiving votes in the ITA Team Rankings.
• The Shockers only listing in the ITA rankings are the doubles pair of No. 54 Marta Bellucco and Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva.

 
Scouting the Competition
 
Arizona State

• No. 18 Arizona State is 6-3 and competed at the ITA Indoor Championships from Feb. 7-9 in Chicago, Ill. They lost all three of their matches, which included two meetings against ranked foes in No. 1 UNC and No. 9 Princeton.
• ASU senior Savannah Slaysman picked an upset win over Tar Heel No. 23 Alle Sanford, 6-2, 6-3.
• The Sun Devils have one player in the ITA Singles Rankings, No. 29 Ilze Hattingh, and one pair in the doubles rankings, No. 55 Teresa Kolarova/Ilze Hattingh.

 
Rice

• The Owls enter the weekend at 3-3 after winning a 5-2 decision over Sam Houston State on Feb. 9.
• Rice has one tandem in the ITA Doubles Rankings, No. 40 Priya Niezgoda/Anastasia Smirnova.
