…Opening Statement:
Great game. Two good teams. We had to battle for 40 minutes. We're very pleased with the win. We started fast both halves and got a big lead. Then they cut it back at halftime, obviously. And then we had another good lead in beginning of the second half. So, the first five or six minutes of both halves, we were a tremendous force.

…How they limited Memphis on offense:
Play good defense. You know, we really competed hard, got after it and just played Wichita State basketball. Those numbers, other than the three-point shooting, were very typical. So that's kind of what we try to do. We tried to make the guys shoot the basketball that weren't great shooters. They did the same to us here last year. We had some guys that couldn't make a shot and they played off them and that's what we did. We made some guys that aren't great shooters try to make a lot of threes tonight. We tried to guard the ones that really could shoot it.

…The team's depth:
You know we don't have as many top-100 players or McDonald's All-Americans and lottery picks is they do, but we do have 13 very talented players and I feel confident going all the way down through our scholarship players -- one-through-13 -- they can all help us win, and they helped us win (tonight). Our scout team was incredible the last couple of days.

I just put in the work this offseason, and worked on all facets of my game, so when the defense disrespects me, I can make them pay for it. And I feel like I did that today. went on to ball screens and I didn't shoot the ball as I like to shoot it from the three today but

"My whole thing down the stretch was trying to do anything to win, whether that's on a defense or offense. I just felt like we kept our composure and stayed locked in down the stretch and we got the win."

...The national recognition the team is receiving:
"We are at 14 wins now and I don't even know when we got that (14th win) last year, so the jump has been crazy. National recognition is cool and all ,but we feel like we've been slept on for a while now. We feel like we could beat anybody in the country."

 "We buy into that 100 percent. We were all good with playing ugly, beating people up, getting beat up and taking the hit. So that's how it goes."
