WICHITA, KAN./ CHARLES KOCH ARENA (10,506)
GREGG MARSHALL, JAMARIUS BURTON, GRANT SHERFIELD, ERIK STEVENSON

Head Coach GREGG MARSHALL on…

…Opening Statement
"tthat was a good performance by us. I thought Erik and J.B. (Jamarius Burton) were just two of the toughest guys on the court, and J.B. made big shot after big shot late in the clock. And Erik just had one of those special days. I probably should have put him on the foul line for the technical, but I went with the higher-percentage shooter. (Assistant coach) Isaac Brown had a wonderful game plan. We were helping off the right guys. And they weren't hurting us with their offense. I watched their offense and I've admired Kermit Davis as a coach for a long time. We've known each other forever. And they run their offense with such great pace, if you allow them to do that, and it's very, very hard to guard, but our guys just did a wonderful job of listening, understanding the strategy that we want to employ to kind of take some of their things away. And we were able to pick the right guys to help us so very pleased with the outcome very pleased with how we competed and that's a good win."

…Erik Stevenson's career night:
"He loves playing against good teams, good players. He loves the man-on-man challenge, he really does. The better the team, sometimes, the more heated the game is, the more intense the game is, the better he plays. So, he's just, you know, it's his greatest strength and also sometimes his greatest weaknesses. He's got to make sure it keeps all of that channeled in the proper way. But if he does, God, I just love his confidence and his swagger, and I'll take that effort from him every night."

…the upcoming Memphis game
"Well, we've reached 13-1, so we've been trending upward for a while, but the Memphis game, it'll be its own animal. No one really plays like Memphis. Memphis has their own style. It's very fast and energetic and athletic and freewheeling and it should be a highly-entertaining game. I anticipate Koch Arena being kind of like it was against Cincinnati in 2017-18. Last game of the regular season. It's going to be electric. You're going to see some future pros on both sides, and it's going to be one heck of a basketball game."

Sophomore guard JAMARIUS BURTON on his improved three-point shooting:
"It's just a blessing to see the work that you put in pay off. To go from 26 (percent) to 50 (percent) is a tremendous leap. I'm just trying to stay in the gym, get my reps up and grow even more confident in my abilities."

Freshman guard GRANT SHERFIELD on the team's stellar defense:
"I feel that we (really) limited their two guards. It was probably the best backcourt that we've played (against) all year. So the mindset was just coming in and just trying to slow down the guards as much as possible."

Sophomore guard ERIK STEVENSON on a lopsided win over a high-profile opponent:
"It feels good. Obviously, any time you win, it feels good, but this one this one feels kind of different. That's, obviously, a tough ball club and they are well-coached and run a lot of complicated stuff on offense. It just feels good to get the win and more importantly to win by 20 and put on a show for the home crowd."
