WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State women's tennis team commences the fall portion of the season in Des Moines, Ia., at the Drake Invitational from Sept. 13-15 at the Rodger Knapp Tennis Center.
Â
The Drake Invitational does not feature a dual match format, but rather sets individual tennis players and doubles tandems against other teams at the invitational. Along with host Drake, two other old Missouri Valley Conference rivals are in the tournament: Creighton and Northern Iowa. The other teams competing include Augustana, Omaha, South Dakota, and Upper Iowa.
Â
WSU Notables

Alexandra Lazarova has the longest current win streak at five.

Quotes from the Coach
Head Coach Colin Foster
"We're excited to get the season underway. We've had two solid weeks of official practice on top of the two weeks of conditioning and individual work that preceded that. Additionally, our newcomer, Natsumi, and several others were on campus this summer and putting in solid work. I feel like we're more than ready to get going."

The indoor courts will be live-streamed (bit.ly/2kbBgJc) and three of our matches can be found there.
