WICHITA, Kan. – Ashley HomeStore will be the presenting sponsor of the Wichita State Shocker Volleyball Classic, it was announced Tuesday, Aug. 13.
 
The classic, which is scheduled for Sept. 12-14 at Charles Koch Arena, will feature the Shockers, in addition to BYU, Texas and VCU.
 
"Wichita Furniture Inc. and Ashley HomeStore is excited to partner once again with Wichita State University and the Shocker women's volleyball program as the presenting sponsor of the Shocker Volleyball Classic," Jay Storey, President of Wichita Furniture, Inc., said. "Our two stores in Wichita are locally owned and operated, and it's important to us to be involved with our hometown university. We look forward to a competitive and fun tournament!"
 
The Shockers and 2018 NCAA tournament semifinalist BYU kick-off the event with a 7 p.m. contest Thursday, Sept. 12, before two matches Friday, Sept.13, featuring BYU and Texas at 4:30 p.m., then Wichita State and VCU at 7 p.m. The classic is slated to conclude Saturday, Sept. 14, with VCU vs. BYU at noon and WSU vs. Texas at 7 p.m.
