WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State Spirit Squad is set to host its Inaugural Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, August 4 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) at Chicken N' Pickle in Wichita.

The event is a family friendly event open to all ages to help the Spirit Squad. Included in the event will be a 24-team pickleball tournament, with a $80 team registration fee. Below is a list of activities and events that will go on during the tournament.

There will be two brackets, both a competitive ($80) and recreational bracket ($80) for experienced and novice competitors. A raffle and silent auction will take place during the event with prizes from the Wichita State athletic department and businesses around Wichita. Individuals participating in the tournament will receive two tickets to the raffle along with a t-shirt.

A pickleball clinic will take place from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. for a $15 fee. T-shirts will be available for sale for $20, and a brunch is available after the event. (brunch is not included with the price of tournament; 10 percent goes to Spirit Squad when you eat).
