LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 10-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders hit six home runs on their way to a 15-10 victory over the Wichita State baseball team in game two of a three-game series Saturday, March 9, in front of 3,562 spectators at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

The Shockers (5-8) and Red Raiders (10-3) are slated to wrap up the series with a contest at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10.

Paxton Wallace went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and hit his second homer of the season to lead the Shockers at the plate, while senior

Brady Slavens each posted a double on two hits.

David VanVooren hit a lead-off home run in the top of the first for his inaugural collegiate home run and hit.

Cal Carver (2-1) took the loss on the mound for Wichita State after allowing four earned runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings of work.

Cody Masters went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI, and Cameron Warren and Dylan Neuse each homered and tripled while driving in four runs, pacing Texas Tech offensively.

Red Raider reliever Caleb Freeman (1-0) earned the victory after giving up no earned runs on three hits in 2/3 of an inning.
