HANOVER, N.H. – The Wichita State men's tennis team knocked off No. 28 Dartmouth Saturday inside the Boss Tennis Center, marking the first top-30 win for the Shockers since the 2012-13 season.

DOUBLES
The Shockers switched up all three doubles lineups against the Big Green, falling on courts two and three. In the second flight,
Andrea Caligiana teamed up with
Marius Frosa for the first time this season, where they fell to Peter Conklin and Casey Ross, 6-3.
Stefan Latinovic and
Haru Inoue paired up in the third flight and fell to John Speicher and Dan Martin (6-4), giving the Big Green an early advantage. No. 19-ranked David Horneffer and Charlie Broom led
Murkel Dellien and
Eddie Stoica in the top lfight, 5-4, before play was suspended.

SINGLES
WSU quickly got on the board in singles action after Dartmouth's David Horneffer was forced to retire due to injury, leading 5-4 over Frosa in the third flight. The Big Green quickly answered with a straight-set victory on court four. Peter Conklin rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 finish over Stoica to give DU a 2-1 lead.

WSU came into the match with a total of four wins in flights five and six. Freshman
Orel Ovil competed in the sixth flight for the fifth time this season, and gave the Shockers some much needed momentum after winning in straight sets over Ross (6-3, 6-2) to tie the match. Latinovic got the nod in the fifth flight for the first time this season. The freshman took on Sid Chari, who was 3-1 in the fifth spot coming into the match, and won in straight sets to go up 3-2 over the Big Green.
Dellien got back in the win column in the second flight, clinching the 4-2 win for the Shockers over the No. 28-ranked Big Green. Dellien coasted in the first set over Martin (6-3), and got a late break in the second to go ahead 6-5, and served out the match for the Shockers.

In flight one, Inoue was up a set (7-6(6)) and trailed in the second (4-2) against No. 34 Broom, before play was suspended.

This win is the first over Dartmouth since March 27, 1988 and only their second win against the Big Green in four meetings.

Up Next: The Shockers return home next Friday, March 1 when they take on old Missouri Valley Conference rival, Drake at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.
