WICHITA, Kan. - Sophomore pitcher Caitlin Bingham has been named to the American's Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday. 

The Tecumseh, Okla., native led the Shockers to a pair of wins over Central Michigan and Pitt over the weekend in the Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C., compiling 20 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched. Bingham snagged her career high of 10 strikeouts in Sunday's win over Pitt, marking the fourth time in the last three seasons that a Wichita State pitcher obtained double-digit strikeouts. 

The honor roll selection marks the first time Bingham has landed on the honor roll in her career.

Bingham and the Shockers travel to Ruston, La. for the Louisiana Tech Invitational, beginning action on Friday at 10 a.m. CST.
