Kayce Litzau both had career performances to help the Wichita State University volleyball team earn a 3-1 victory against the UConn Huskies Friday, Oct. 25, at Gampel Pavilion. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17, 20-25 and 25-20.

Wichita State (6-15, 3-6 American) is slated to play Temple at noon CT (1 p.m. ET) Sunday, Oct. 27, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Uluave, a native of La'ie, Hawaii, compiled her third double-double of the season with a career-best 17 kills and 14 digs, and hit .333 with just three errors on 42 attempts, while Litzau, who hails from Greendale, Wis., had a career-high 26 assists.

Arianna Arjomand chipped in a match-best 17 digs.

The Shockers outhit the Huskies (8-13, 2-7 American) in the match, .214 to .178, and had 49 kills on 145 attempts with 18 errors. UConn posted 58 kills on 169 attempts, but committed 28 attacking miscues.

WSU also out-blocked UConn, 13-6, and tallied a 4-3 edge in service aces.

Caylee Parker led the Huskies with 15 kills, while Courtney Morris had 49 assists, respectively.
