WICHITA, Kan. – Cincinnati scored five unanswered runs in a 5-1 win over Wichita State in game three of the series.
The Shockers had just three hits, a home run from
Alec Bohm and singles from
Dayton Dugas and
Gunnar Troutwine.
Starter
Preston Snavely went 4.1 innings and gave up one run on one hit with three walks and four strikeouts.
With two outs in the first,
Alec Bohm hit his 10
th home run of the season to give the Shockers an early 1-0 lead.
Treg Haberkorn led off the fifth with a hit by pitch and stole second. He moved to third on a flyout and scored on a balk to tie the game at one.
The Bearcats used two hits and a passed ball to take a 2-1 lead in the sixth.
Haberkorn's three-run home run in the ninth made the final score 5-1.
The Shockers are next in action on Tue., May 8 against Oral Roberts at 6 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
