GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Wichita State softball team fell to ECU, 5-0, in game two of the conference series with the Shocker bats failing to capitalize, leaving five runners on base. 

Bailee Nickerson got the first Shocker hit of the day in the second, but the Shockers left her stranded.  

In the bottom half the Pirates took the lead with two hits, a walk and fielder's choice eventually getting two home. ECU added a third on a sacrifice fly.

Two walks and a single loaded the bases for the Pirates in the third and a sacrifice fly making it 4-0.

Asea Webber got the Shockers second hit of the game in the fourth, but again the bats left her stranded. In the bottom half the Pirates added another run with an error, ground out and wild pitch getting a runner home to make it 5-0. Mckenzie Weber replaced Klitzke in the circle to get out of the inning.

Paige Luellen got on base in the fifth thanks to an error but the Shocker bats went down in order.

Wichita State dropped to 28-18, 10-7 and Caitlin Bingham (2-5) the loss with the final game of the series set for a 10:00 a.m. CT first pitch.
