GREENVILLE, N.C. – No. 16 ECU clinched the three-game series with a 5-0 win over No. 18 Wichita State in the finale.
 
Gunnar Troutwine went 2-for-4 for the Shockers, while Trey Vickers had a double.
 
Starter Tommy Barnhouse went 4.1 innings and gave up one earned run on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
 
Spencer Brickhouse led off the fourth with a walk and moved to third on a single from Jake Washer. Connor Litton then hit into a 6-4-3 double play that scored Brickhouse for a 1-0 Pirates lead.
 
Two Shocker errors in the fifth led to three unearned runs and a 4-0 ECU lead.
 
Litton's home run to lead off the eighth made the score 5-0.
 
The Shockers are next in action on Tue., April 3 when they host Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
