WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State University baseball program is scheduled to host its annual First Pitch Banquet on Friday, Feb. 1, in the Aetna Multi-Purpose Center at Charles Koch Arena.
 
The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature former Wichita State head coach Gene Stephenson as the guest speaker.
 
Stephenson, who is a member of both the College Baseball Hall of Fame and Pizza Hut Shocker Sports Hall of Fame, coached the Shockers from 1978-2013 and helped lead Wichita State to seven College World Series appearances, including winning the 1989 College World Series title. He was named the NCAA Coach of the Year three times, and selected Missouri Valley Coach of the Year 11 times.
 
Individual tickets for the banquet are $125, while table sponsorships (table for nine) are available starting at $1,000.
