WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State University volleyball team led the American Athletic Conference and finished 18th in the nation in overall attendance during the 2018 season, it was announced Thursday, Dec. 20.
The Shockers averaged 2,177 fans over their 10 home matches, and finished the season with a total attendance of 21,773.
Wichita State has been ranked in the top-25 for attendance in NCAA Division I for 14 consecutive seasons, including nine top-10 finishes.
WSU also finished in the top-40 in four NCAA statistical categories, ranking 15th in team attacks (4,727), 32nd in team assists (1,574), and 35th in both team digs (2,019) and team kills (1,666).
Individually, sophomore libero
Giorgia Civita finished fourth in total digs with a Wichita State single-season record 728 digs and sixth in digs per set at 5.78.
