WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State women's tennis team will travel to the Kansas City area to play Missouri and UMKC on Sunday, Feb. 12. The Shockers will face the Tigers at 9 a.m. in Merriam, Kan. at the Kansas City Racquet Club, and the Kangaroos at 1 p.m. in nearby Westwood, Kan. at the Woodside Health and Tennis Club.

Wichita State (2-1) defeated Missouri (3-1) exactly a year ago today in Columbia, Mo. by a score of 4-2. WSU also defeated UMKC (1-3) last season, winning 6-1 at the Coleman Tennis Complex.

Neither opponent is ranked, and does not have any players ranked in singles or doubles. Giulia Guidetti is currently No. 113 in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings. Guidetti was previously ranked No. 93 nationally.

The Shockers are coming off of mixed results at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend on Jan. 28-29 in Stillwater, Okla. The team lost to TCU 4-0 on the first day, but rebounded in the consolation match against Cornell the next day, winning 4-1.
