WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State finishes the 2017 regular-season with two matches against Memphis. The Shockers travel to Memphis, Tenn., on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. and host Memphis on Friday, Nov. 24 at 12 p.m.

Scouting Memphis
The Tigers are 10-20 overall and 3-15 in The American. Wins this season have come against UT Martin twice, Little Rock, Sam Houston State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Louisiana-Monroe, Nicholls, Tulane, Temple and Tulsa. Losses have come against Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, Central Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, UConn twice, Temple, UCF twice, USF twice, Houston, Tulsa, SMU twice, ECU twice and Cincinnati twice. As a team, they are hitting .173, while holding opponents to a .208 clip. They are led offensively by Brianna Kadiku who is averging 2.17 kills and 1.15 blocks per set. Faith Myers averages 6.16 assists and Alyssa Kronberg averages 4.10 digs per set. The Tigers are led by head coach April Jauregui.

Series History vs. the Tigers
The overall series between the two teams is tied 1-1. The Shockers won 2-0 in Springfield, Mo., in 1976 and Memphis won 3-2 in Columbia, Mo., in 1988.

Last Meeting vs. Memphis
The last meeting between the two teams was Sept. 3, 1988, in Columbia, Mo. The Tigers won 3-2 by scores of 14-16, 6-15, 15-6, 16-14 and 15-9.

Shockers Ranked 20th
The Wichita State volleyball team is ranked 20th in the Nov. 20 AVCA Top-25 Poll. The Shockers are receiving 395 points in the poll. It is the 11th ranking for the Shockers this season as they were ranked 23rd in the Sept. 4 poll, 24th in the Sept. 18 poll, 25th in the Sept. 25 poll, 24th in the Oct. 2 poll, 22nd in the Oct. 9 poll, 21st in the Oct. 16, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 poll, 20th in the Nov. 6 and 21st in the Nov. 13 poll.

Shockers in the RPI
Wichita State is ninth in the eighth official RPI release of the season. WSU is 2-3 against the top-50 and 11-3 against the top-100. Wins include Creighton (16), Marquette (32), SMU twice (71), Miami (Ohio) (65), Temple twice (73), Lipscomb (86), UCF twice (90) and ETSU (85). Losses are against Oregon (23), Iowa State (15) and Cal Poly (19). Memphis is 259.

Moving on Up
Senior middle blocker Abbie Lehman and senior setter Emily Hiebert continue to climb the Shocker career records list for kills, blocks and assists. Lehman is now fifth in career kills with 1,324 and 36 more to move into fourth place. She is first in career total blocks with 515. She is also second in career block assists with 453 and needs seven more to move into first place. Hiebert is first in assists with 4,831.

American Champs
Wichita State won the first American Athletic Conference title in school history with a win at SMU on Nov. 19. It is the seventh conference regular-season title overall for the Shockers. WSU will be making its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance.

Lehman and Hiebert Honored by The American
Wichita State volleyball student-athletes Abbie Lehman and Emily Hiebert were honored by the American Athletic Conference for their play the week of Nov. 13-19. Lehman was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Hiebert was named to the Honor Roll. Lehman and Hiebert led the Shockers to a 2-0 weekend which included clinching the American Athletic Conference regular-season title. Lehman, a senior middle blocker from Newton, Kan., averaged 2.17 blocks, 1.17 digs, and 3.67 kills per set, while hitting .500. In the three-set win at Tulsa, she had a match-high three blocks along with four digs and 13 kills and hit .440. In the three-set win at SMU, she became the Shocker career leader in total blocks. She finished with a career-high 10 block assists along with three digs and nine kills while hitting .615. Hiebert, a senior setter from Newton, Kan., averaged 12.67 assists, 1.17 kills, 2.67 digs and 1.50 blocks per set, while hitting .375. She also guided the Shocker offense to a .337 hitting percentage. In the three-set win at Tulsa, she had 42 assists, four kills, six digs and two blocks, while hitting .364. In the three-set win at SMU, she became the Shocker career leader in assists. She finished with 34 assists, 10 digs, three kills and seven blocks.

Lehman Takes Over First
Senior middle blocker Abbie Lehman became the Shocker career leader in total blocks during the three-set win at SMU on Nov. 19. She passed Elizabeth Meyers who had 505 from 2002-05. Lehman currently sits at 515.

Hiebert First in Assists
Senior setter Emily Hiebert became the Shocker career leader in assists during the three-set win at SMU on Nov. 19. She passed Mary Elizabeth Hooper who had 4,820 from 2008-11. Hiebert currently sits at 4,831.

Set Winning Streak
Wichita State is currently on a 23-set winning streak, which ranks as the second-best streak in school history. The record is 26 which was set from Sept. 26-Oct. 16, 1992.

10 Blocks
Abbie Lehman had 10 blocks in the three-set win at SMU on Nov. 19. It was the first time a Shocker had 10 or more blocks in a match since Ashley Andrade had 10 against Bradley on Sept. 28, 2012.

Havoc MVP
Junior outside hitter Tabitha Brown earned MVP honors in the Havoc in the Heartland rivalry series game with Tulsa. Brown had 15 kills, two digs and two blocks, while hitting .478 in the three-set win.

18-0
Wichita State is off to an 18-0 start in American Athletic Conference play. It ties the best conference start in school history. The Shockers also started 18-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference in 2005 and 2008.

Winning Streak
Wichita State has now won 18-straight matches, which ranks as the fourth-best winning streak in school history. The school record is 29 set in 2008. Second place is 26 in 2005 and third place is 19 in 2007.

Lehman Finalist for Senior CLASS Award
Wichita State volleyball student-athlete Abbie Lehman has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award, which honors athletes who excel on and off the court. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. Lehman, a middle blocker from Newton, Kan., is a three-time AVCA All-American and three-time first team all-conference selection. This season, she is averaging 3.60 kills and 1.27 blocks per set, while hitting .426. She ranks 11th nationally in hitting percentage and 44th in blocks per set. She has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.81 and earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in May and is currently working on her master's degree.

500
Senior middle blocker Abbie Lehman collected her 500th career total block in the win at Cincinnati. She is just the second player in school history to reach that milestone. She trails former Shocker Elizabeth Meyers who had 505 total blocks from 2002-05.

Hiebert's Milestone
Senior setter Emily Hiebert collected her 100th career service ace in the win at Cincinnati. She is now the only player in school history to have at least 400 kills, 4,000 assists, 100 service aces and 1,000 digs.

Raudsepp Reaches 1,000
Senior outside hitter Mikaela Raudsepp collected her 1,000th career kill in the three-set win over Temple. She is the 13th play in Shocker history to reach the 1,000-kill mark.

20 Wins Again
With two wins over the weekend, Wichita State improved to 22-3 overall and 14-0 in The American. WSU now has 15-straight 20-win seasons.

Two With 20
Two Shockers had 20 or more kills in the five-set win at UCF on Oct. 27. Tabitha Brown had a match-high 23 kills, while Abbie Lehman had a career-high 22 kills. They are the first Shocker duo to have 20 or more kills in a match since Sara Lungren (21) and Emily Stockman (20) did it against Kansas State on Aug. 25, 2007.

400 Wins
Wichita State head coach Chris Lamb collected his 400th career win on Oct. 15 against Tulsa. He is now 400-159 in his 18-year head coaching career.

Hiebert Reaches 1,000 Digs
Senior setter Emily Hiebert recorded her 1,000th career dig in the three-set win at Houston on Oct. 8. She is just the fourth setter in school history to reach that milestone joining Yu-Chyi Yang (1,165), Kori Rosenkranz (1,110) and Michele Hallagin (1,110).

4,000 Assists
Senior setter Emily Hiebert recorded her 4,000th career assist on Sept. 9 against Cal Poly. She now has 4,030 assists and is just the fourth player in school history to reach the 4,000-assist mark. She joins Mary Elizabeth Hooper (4,820), Michele Hallagin (4,476) and Kori Rosenkranz (4,313).

1,000 Kills
Senior middle blocker Abbie Lehman collected her 1,000th career kill on Sept. 1 at IUPUI. She is just the 12th Shocker to record 1,000 career kills. She now has 1,030 for her career.

Family Connection
Two Shocker volleyball players have siblings who compete in other sports at Wichita State. Junior Tabitha Brown's brother Zach is a senior on the men's basketball team, while redshirt freshman Regan Stiawalt's brother Chandler is a freshman on the men's track and field team.

International History
Redshirt freshman libero Giorgia Civita returns to the team in 2017. Civita is from Milan, Italy and is just the seventh international player to play for the Shockers. Others include Kim Henry (1989-92) from Canada, Swee Ng (1992) from Malaysia, Marsha Van Cedar (1994-95) from Canada, Tomoko Matsuda (1996) from Japan, Lucia Zhanje (2000) from Zimbabwe and Shimen Fayad (2014- 15) from Canada. One other international player was on the roster in 1992, but never played in a match (Tamie Bearup, Italy).
