WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State swept Drake in three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-15 on Saturday night in Charles Koch Arena.

Tabitha Brown and
Jody Larson all tied for the team lead with nine kills, while
Emily Hiebert led with 33 assists.
Gabi Mostrom also led the Shockers with 12 digs.
Both teams traded points to begin the first set, until a kill by
Katy Dudzinski gave the Shockers a 7-4 lead. After three straight errors by the Bulldogs, Wichita State pushed their lead to 10-5, before Drake called its first timeout of the set. A kill by Brown and back-to-back kills by Dudzinski extended the Shocker lead to 17-9, forcing Drake to call its final timeout of the set. The Bulldogs went on a 4-0 run, to cut the lead to six, 20-14, before WSU ended the run on a kill from Dudzinski. Drake cut the lead to one, before a kill by Raudsepp pushed the Shocker lead back to two, 22-20. Kills by
Abbie Lehman and Brown, gave Wichita State the win in set one, 25-23.
Drake got out to an early 4-0 lead in the second set, before a kill by Larson put the Shockers on the board, 4-1. The Bulldogs stayed hot, pushing the lead to 10-5, forcing Wichita State to take its first timeout of the set. A kill by Lehman and a service ace from Hiebert cut the lead to three, 12-9. An error by the Bulldogs tied the game at 14, after a kill from Raudsepp. Wichita State claimed the lead in the second set on a kill from Brown, 17-16. Back-to-back kills by the Bulldogs in the second set, tied the game at 19. Wichita State finished the second set on a 6-2 run, taking the set, 25-21.
Three straight errors by the Bulldogs and a block from Brown and Lehman, gave Wichita State an 11-6 lead. A 3-0 run forces Drake to call its second timeout of the set, with WSU leading 16-7. Another 3-0 run by the Shockers extended the Wichita State lead to 20-8, late in the third set. A kill by
Natalie Brisso, gave the Shockers a 25-15 win in set three to sweep the Bulldogs.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Nov. 4 as they travel to Peoria, Ill., to face Bradley at 7 p.m.
