One of the most feared sluggers in Shocker baseball history.
 
  • His 47 career home runs were the most by a Shocker in a two-year span.
  • His .769 career slugging percentage ranks second only to Joe Carter.
  • Drove in a school- and NCAA-record 1390 runs in 1982 while helping the Shockers to their first College World Series berth.
  • Clouted 24 home runs as the team's designated hitter that year.
  • Batted .409 in the College World Series with a tournament-leading 12 RBI.
  • Named to the All-CWS Team and honored as a second-team All-American.
  • Named first-team All-American at first base in 1983.
  • Compiled another tremendous season and was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year.
  • Batted a team-leading .439 with 23 homers and 105 RBI.
  • His RBI total once again led the NCAA.
  • His .406 batting average ranks fourth on WSU's all-time listing.
  • He twice hit three home runs in a game.
  • A first-round draft choice of the Chicago White Sox in 1983. Inducted, 1993.
