A first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and a second-team selection by Baseball America in 1995 as a shortstop...He was named to the 1993 MVC Tournament, NCAA all-Atlantic Regional Team and to the College World Series all-Tournament Team...He was also named to the ABCA second-team all-region team in 1994 and the first team in 1995...A two-time all-Valley selection, he was named the team's MVP in 1994 and 1995, its most outstanding player both of the seasons and its most improved player in 1993...  He also won the team's Golden Glove Award in 1994...Was honorable mention all-MVC and was named to the Hawaii Easter Rainbow Tournament as a sophomore...A career .327 hitter, he hit .398 as a senior with 16 home runs and 25 doubles...Drafted in 1995 by the Houston Astros...Inducted 2008.
