Rushed for over 1,400 yards in his career. All-Missouri Valley Conference fullback in 1958 and 1959 and Honorable Mention All-American. Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 1960 draft. Also played for the Minnesota Vikings. Charter Inductee, 1979.
