Served as President of the University of Wichita for 14 years, from July, 1949 to May, 1963. Responsible for the construction of the arena, first "roundhouse" in the nation; was instrumental in guiding the University into the State University system. Graduate of WSU. Nationally ranked as a member of the tennis team. Charter Inductee, 1979.
