Box Score PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley used seven strong innings from Steve Adkins to defeat Wichita State 4-2 in game two of the series.
WSU starter Chase Williams went 4.2 innings and gave up four runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
Daniel Kihle, Chase Rader, Ryan Tinkham and Jordan Farris each had a hit for the Shockers.
The Braves got on the board with a solo home run from Spencer Gaa in the bottom of the fourth.
BU added three more in the fifth to increase the lead to 4-0. Drew Carlile led off with a single and was sacrificed to second. He moved to third on a groundout and Chris Godinez walked to put runners on the corners. Isaac Smith singled to drive in Carlile and Elliot Ashbeck's two-run single put the Braves up 4-0.
Tanner Kirk reached on an error to lead off the eighth and scored on a home run to left field from Daniel Kihle to cut the lead to 4-2.
The Shockers and Braves wrap up the series on Sun., April 19 at 11 a.m.
