WICHITA, Kan. – Central Michigan scored two in the fourth and two in the ninth on the way to a 4-1 win over Wichita State in game two of the series.

Starter Isaac Anderson went seven innings and gave up one earned run on four hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

Trey Vickers went 1-for-3 with a RBI, while Mikel Mucha went 2-for-5.

The Chippewas took an early lead in the fourth inning. Pat MacKenzie and Zach McKinstry led off with singles and advanced to second and third on a balk. MacKenzie scored on Cody Leichman's groundout and McKinstry scored on a passed ball to give CMU a 2-0 lead.

The Shockers cut into the lead in the seventh. Michael Burns led off with a single and stole second. With one out, Trey Vickers singled to right-center to drive in Burns to cut the lead to 2-1.

CMU added to the lead in the ninth. After a leadoff walk to Leichman, Alex Borglin doubled to left field and both runners scored on a two-out single by Nick Regnier to give the Chippewas a 4-1 lead.

The Shockers and Chippewas wrap up the series on Sun., March 8 at 1 p.m.
