Reilly Named MVC Player of the WeekWichita State volleyball student-athlete
Katie Reilly has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
Reilly, a senior middle blocker from Cypress, Texas, led the Shockers to a road win at Missouri State on Saturday. She averaged 4.33 kills, 0.33 aces, 2.67 digs and 4.67 points per set, while hitting .346.
In the three-set win, she had a match-high 13 kills on 26 swings and hit .346. She also added an assist, a service ace and eight digs.
With the win, the Shockers improved to 10-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play and 6-0 in Valley road matches.
It is the first MVC Player of the Week honor of her career.
Hiebert's Double-DoublesSophomore setter
Emily Hiebert had her streak of six-straight double-doubles snapped on Oct. 5 at Evansville. She leads the Shockers with 13 this season and now has 23 in her career, which ranks tied for 18th in the Shocker career record books.
Raudsepp Stays Strong in MVC PlaySophomore outside hitter
Mikaela Raudsepp celebrated her 20th birthday on Saturday with a big performance at Missouri State. She had seven kills on 18 swings with no errors and hit .389. She also added two digs and a block. In 12 MVC matches this season, she is averaging 2.70 kills, 1.02 digs and 0.50 blocks per set and hitting .267.
