Box Score LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas used four runs in the second inning to defeat Wichita State 4-2 at Hoglund Ballpark.
Parker Zimmerman went 2-for-4, while Tanner Dearman went 2-for-4. Dayne Parker and Micah Green each had an RBI.
Starter Drew Palmer took the loss. He went 1.2 innings and allowed four runs on six hits with two walks and one strikeout.
The Jayhawks used six hits in the second to jump out to a 4-0 lead and chase WSU starter Drew Palmer.
Casey Gillaspie led off the fourth with a walk and scored on a double to left field from Dayne Parker to cut the lead to 4-1. Parker moved to third on a ground out and scored on a sacrifice fly to right field from Micah Green to make the score 4-2.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., April 4 at Indiana State at 5:30 p.m. Central time.
