STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 49 Wichita State suffered a 6-1 loss to No. 50 Oklahoma State at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater on Sunday. Sunday's loss dropped the Shockers to 9-4 while the Cowgirls improved to 5-5.

The Cowgirls swept the doubles portion of the dual-match. Katarina Adamovic/Karyn Guttormsen defeated Abby Stevens/Julia Schiller (No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Associaton's Central Doubles Rankings) by an 8-2 score. Viktoriya Lushkova/Kanyapat Narattana completed the sweep when they beat Veronika Blaskova/Lucia Kovalova 8-3.

No. 50 Oklahoma State took the 1-0 dual-match lead into singles play.

Adamovic pushed the Cowgirl lead to 2-0 when she earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Blaskova. Narattana gave No. 50 Oklahoma State a 3-0 dual-match lead by winning 6-4, 6-4 over Kovalova.

The Cowgirls took a 4-0 lead in the contest after Carla Tur Mari took down Stevens 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, and bumped their lead up to 5-0 once Lushkova (No. 108 in the ITA's National Singles Rankings) defeated Schiller 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Guttormsen gave No. 50 Oklahoma State a 6-0 dual-match lead after winning against Montse Blasco Fernandez, 7-6(3), 6-4.

Rebecca Pedrazzi helped the Shockers avoid the dual-match sweep when she gave the Shockers their only point of the day. She captured a 2-6, 7-5, 7-6(5) victory against McCray that cut the Cowgirl lead to the 6-1 final score.

No. 49 Wichita State's next dual-match will be on Saturday, March 8 against Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan. at noon.
