Box Score DES MOINES, Iowa – Wichita State won its 26-straight match over Drake with a 3-0 win. The Shockers (13-3, 3-0) won by scores of 25-11, 25-23 and 25-16.
Elizabeth Field led the Shockers with 12 kills and hit .524, while Ashley Andrade had 11 kills and hit .526. Chelsey Feekin had seven kills, 34 assists and nine digs and Dani Mostrom had a career-high 20 digs.
The Shockers raced out to an 11-5 lead in the first set after back-to-back kills from Elizabeth Field. WSU used an 8-3 run to increase the lead 19-8 and won the set 25-11.
The Bulldogs took an early 7-3 lead in the second set, but the Shockers used an 8-0 run to go in front 11-7. Another Field kill gave the Shocks a 16-11 lead, but DU battled back to within 23-22 and 24-23, but a kill by Ashlyn Driskill gave the Shocks a 25-23 win.
WSU used a 5-0 run to take a 10-5 lead in the third set and a 4-0 run to increase the lead to 17-7. The Shockers cruised to the 25-16 win.
The Shockers are next in action on Mon., Sept. 30 in an exhibition match against the Italian National Team at 7 p.m. at Charles Koch Arena.
