As a team, the Wildcats are hitting .277 with a team ERA of 3.27. Kyle Ruchim leads NU offensively as he is hitting .361 with 15 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 24 RBI. The Wildcats are led by 26th-year head coach Paul Stevens.

Brummett in a Starting RoleFreshman pitcher
Garrett Brummett made his first career start on April 24 against Oral Roberts and has put up impressive numbers in his four career starts. He is 3-0 with a 0.43 ERA in those four starts. He has pitched 21 innings and has allowed just one run on 12 hits with four walks and eight strikeouts. He has allowed just one run in his last 22.1 innings pitched overall.
Bullpen ImpressiveThe Shocker bullpen made a statement in Missouri Valley Conference play in 2013. Eight pitchers combined for a 1.34 bullpen ERA in Valley play this season. In 80.1 innings pitched, the bullpen allowed just 12 earned runs on 58 hits with 21 walks and 70 strikeouts. The bullpen went 8-0 with eight saves.
