CHICAGO, Ill. – Wichita State's senior quartet of Sam Sanders, Ashley Andrade, Elizabeth Field and Chelsey Feekin led the Shockers to a 3-1 win at Loyola. The Shockers won by scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-22.

Sanders had 14 kills and hit .350, while Andrade had 14 kills and hit .370. Field finished with 13 kills and hit .632, while Feekin had five kills, 50 assists and eight digs. Dani Mostrom led the Shockers with 12 digs.

WSU used a kill from Ashlyn Driskill to take a 7-5 lead in the first set. The Ramblers used two-straight kills to tie it at seven before a 3-0 Shocker run put WSU up 14-10. A service ace from Sam Sanders and a kill from Elizabeth Field gave the Shocks a 17-12 lead, but Loyola used a 4-0 run to pull within 17-16. The Ramblers tied it at 19, but never took the lead down the stretch as the Shockers won the set 25-23.

Three kills from Ashley Andrade helped the Shockers to a 5-1 lead in the second set. The Ramblers battled back to take a 9-8 lead and the set went back-and-forth until the Shocks took an 18-15 lead on a block from Field and Feekin. A kill by Driskill put the Shocks in front 21-17, but the Ramblers used a 7-1 run to take a 24-22 lead and won the set 25-23.

A Driskill kill gave the Shocks a 7-4 lead in the third set and a service ace from Alyssa Carney increased the lead to 14-10. WSU had a five-point lead at 17-12, but Loyola cut the lead to 19-17 after a WSU service error. Another Carney service ace gave the Shocks a 23-19 lead and a kill from Sanders ended the set with a 25-20 Shocker win.

The fourth set went back-and-forth with neither team taking more than a two-point lead. Three-straight kills from Field gave WSU a 20-18 lead and a Field and Feekin block made the score 21-18. Another Shocker block gave WSU a 23-18 lead and the Shocks won the set 25-22 after a kill from Field.

The Shockers are next in action on Sat., Nov. 16 at Bradley at 3 p.m.
