Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Wichita State hit .346 as a team on the way to a 3-0 win over Evansville. The Shockers won by scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-14.
Chelsey Feekin and Elizabeth Field each had nine kills for the Shockers, while Feekin added 31 assists and Dani Mostrom had 17 digs.
The Shockers used three-straight kills to take a 7-2 lead in the first set and increased it to 16-5 after a kill and a block from Ashley Andrade. WSU closed out the set on a 5-0 run to win 25-11.
The Aces grabbed an early 6-3 lead in the second set, but the Shockers used back-to-back aces from Dani Mostrom to take an 8-7 lead. A kill from Feekin increased the lead to 11-8 and back-to-back kills from Andrade made the score 16-11. A kill and block from Katie Reilly ended the set in a 25-17 Shocker win.
The third set went back-and-forth until the Shockers used a 6-0 run to take a 10-5 lead. A service ace from Sam Sanders gave the Shocks an 18-10 lead and a kill from Sanders ended the set 25-14.
The Shockers are next in action on Sat., Nov. 2 at Southern Illinois at 5 p.m.
