Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Ashley Andrade had a match-high 15 kills and hit .519 to lead Wichita State to a sweep over Indiana State. The Shockers won by scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-22.
Chelsey Feekin had 35 assists, 10 digs and six kills and Dani Mostrom added 14 digs.
Indiana State used a 4-0 run to take an 8-6 lead in the first set, but the Shockers answered with a 4-0 run to go in front 10-8. Two kills from Katie Reilly and a service ace from Chelsey Feekin increased the lead to 15-10. INS pulled to within 23-20 on a Shocker serving error, but WSU closed out the set 25-22 on a kill from Ashley Andrade.
The Shockers raced out to a 7-1 lead in the second set and increased the lead to 18-9 on a kill from Andrade. A kill from Elizabeth Field gave the Shocks a 22-13 lead and WSU won the set 25-16
WSU took a 4-1 lead in the third set, but INS answered with three-straight kills to tie it at four. A 4-0 Sycamore run gave INS a 9-6 lead and the Sycamores increased the lead to 13-8. WSU came back to tie it at 17 and again at 21 on a kill from Field. Two-straight kills from Andrade put WSU up 23-21 and the Shockers won the set 25-22 on another Andrade kill.
The Shockers are next in action on Tue., Oct. 15 against Louisville at 7 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena.
