WICHITA, Kan.- Wichita
State made quick work of Nebraska-Omaha in a three-set sweep Tuesday night at
Charles Koch Arena. The Shockers won by scores of, 25-10, 25-15, 25-17.
Camri Zwiesler led the way for Wichita State (8-4,2-0) with
eight kills and 14 digs along with Mary Elizabeth Hooper's 25 assists. The
Shockers held Nebraska-Omaha to 0.0% hitting.
In a lopsided first set the Shockers were spurred by
Elizabeth Field's three kills and capitalized on hitting errors from
Nebraska-Omaha, who were paced by Brittany Hanssen's four kills.
The second set provided more of the same for both teams as
Wichita State jumped out to an early lead they would never relinquish. Camri
Zwiesler's five kills powered the way to the second set victory.
Ashley Andrade's three kills in the final set provided the
culmination for the Shockers, who next take on Missouri State in MVC play
Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
