Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La. - No. 24 Tulane used a walk-off homer from
Blake Crohan in the 11th inning to take a 3-2 win over Wichita State
(10-4).
Chris O'Brien went 4-for-5 for the Shockers, while Kevin
Hall and Tyler Grimes each had an RBI.
Reliever Foster Vielock took the loss.
Nick Schneeberger's solo home run to right field in the
fifth inning gave the Green Wave a 1-0 lead, but Tyler Grimes hit his first
home run of the season in the sixth to tie the game at one.
Schneeberger led off the seventh with a single up the
middle, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a two-out double
by Matt Ryan to give Tulane a 2-1 lead.
The Shockers tied it back up in the eighth. Tyler Coughenour pinch hit and doubled off
the left field wall with one out. He
came around to score on a two-out single by Kevin Hall.
The Shockers are next in action on Tue, March 15 when they
host Arizona for a two-game series.
First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
