Shockers Let Halftime Lead Slip Away

Indiana State out-scored the Wichita State women's basketball team 41-26 in the second half and defeated the Shockers 65-57 Saturday afternoon at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Ind.  Jessica Diamond scored 15 points and Haleigh Lankster added 12 to lead the Shockers.  Michelle Price added eight points and four steals.

Wichita State led 31-24 at the half with Diamond providing 11 of the Shockers' points.  WSU shot over 46% from the floor and forced 13 turnovers. The team forced only four turnovers in the second half.

Lankster connected on two three-point baskets to tie her for sixth on the WSU career three-point field goal list with 90.  Both treys came in the final minute as the Shockers attempted a last ditch comeback. 

Heater Robben also hit two threes and scored eight pointswith two rebounds and two assists.

The Shockers return home Thursday to face Missouri State at 5:30 p.m. in a game televised regionally by the Missouri Valley Conference.  It also the annual WBCA Pink Zone game.
