Box Score DES MOINES, Iowa - Wichita State won its 23rd-straight
match against Drake with a 3-0 win.
The Shockers won by scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-13.
Emily Adney led WSU with 15 kills, while Camri Zwiesler
added 13 kills and 17 digs. Mary
Elizabeth Hooper had 39 assists and Sarah Waldorf had 16 digs.
The two teams raced out to an 8-8 tie in the first set
before the Shockers started pulling away.
A kill from Camri Zwiesler put the Shocks up 15-12 and a kill by Emily
Adney increased the lead to 20-14.
WSU won the set 25-19.
Drake took an early 6-5 lead in the second set, but the
Shockers scored six-straight points to go in front 11-6. A kill by Adney increased the lead to
20-10 and the Shockers won the set 25-12 on a kill by Zwiesler.
A kill by Zwiesler put the Shocks up 8-3 in the third set
and a kill by Sam Sanders increased the lead to 18-12. The Shockers cruised to a 25-13 win in
the third set.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Nov. 11 against
Southern Illinois at 7 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena.
