WICHITA, Kan. - The
Wichita State Shocker volleyball team swept the Bradley Braves Friday evening
at Charles Koch Arena by scores of, 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.
The Shockers got a great hitting performance from Junior
Emily Adney, who connected for 15 kills. Camri Zwiesler added 11 kills and Mary
Elizabeth Hooper led the team with 41 assists.
In addition to Adney's six kills, Elizabeth Field added five
of her own in a balanced first set for the Shockers. Sarah Waldorf added 11
digs to secure the set.
The Braves were in for more of the same in the second set as
Adney added an additional six kills. The Shockers outhit Bradley .353-.176.
After getting off to a slow start in the final set the
Shockers regained momentum and closed out the Braves behind Zwiesler and Ashley
Andrade's five kills.
The Shockers are next in action on Sat., Oct. 29 when they
host No. 12 Northern Iowa at 7 p.m.
