Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Camri Zwiesler's double-double led
Wichita State to a 3-1 win over Missouri State. The Shockers won by scores of 25-22, 11-25, 25-23 and 25-17.
Zwiesler led WSU with 15 kills, 10 digs and six blocks. Mary Elizabeth Hooper had 39 assists
and Emily Adney added nine kills and six digs.
WSU never trailed in the first set. A kill by Emily Adney gave the Shocks a
7-3 advantage, but the Bears came back to tie it at seven. MSU was unable to take the lead as WSU
scored three-straight points and then increased the lead to 13-8 after
back-to-back blocks. Another kill
by Adney put WSU up 18-13, but the Bears fought back to pull within 22-21. WSU closed out the set with three of
the final four points to win 25-22.
The Shockers held an early 6-3 lead in the second set, but
the Bears used back-to-back kills to take an 8-7 lead. MSU used a 13-0 run to take a 24-10
lead and won the set 25-11.
Back-to-back kills by Camri Zwiesler gave the Shocks an
early 9-4 lead in the third set.
WSU continued to lead until MSU took a 22-21 lead with back-to-back
kills. WSU scored four of the
final five points to take the set 25-23.
The fourth set went back-and-forth until four-straight
Shocker points gave WSU a 13-9 lead.
A Zwiesler kill increased the lead to 15-10 and WSU pulled away to win
the set 25-17.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Oct. 28 when they
host Bradley inside Charles Koch Arena at 7 p.m.
