Game 5 of State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament

WICHITA, Kan. - Freshman Michael Blatchford came through with a two-out single in the bottom of the 12th that scored Carson Vitale from second to keep Creighton alive at the MVC Tournament with a 6-5 victory over Bradley, Wednesday.

Bobby Lackovic (4-3) stranded a Bradley runner on third with one out in the top of the frame to earn the win. Kori Jensen gave up the walk-off hit to suffer the loss, falling to 5-4.

Creighton (27-24) was helped along by Brandon Koenigsteing, who threw 6.2 innings in relief of Ty Blach. Koenigstein allowed just an earned run on five hits while striking out three.

T.J. Roemmich finished with two hits and four RBI, as his bases-clearing triple brought the Jays within one, before Jimmy Swift singled to tie the game as part of a four-run rally in the bottom of the eighth.

Matt Fritz and Rob Elliot both had two RBI for Bradley (20-32).

Creighton advances to play the loser of today's 4 p.m., game (Indiana State/Illinois State), Thursday at 4 p.m.
