TULSA, Okla. -  Oral Roberts took game one of a two-game series with the Shockers by a 7-1 score.

Will Baez, Erik Harbutz, Preston Springer, Travis Bennett, Cody Lassley and Ryan Jones each had a hit for Wichita State.  Starter Charlie Lowell took the loss.

The Shockers jumped on the board first with a run in the first inning.  With two outs and nobody on, Preston Springer singled to centerfield and scored on Travis Bennett's double to centerfield.

ORU scored four in the bottom of the first to take a 4-1 lead.  The Golden Eagles scored the four runs on one hit, two walks and two hit by pitch.

The Golden Eagles added three more runs in the seventh with a single, a triple and a home run to increase the lead to 7-1.

The Shockers take on ORU for game two of the series on Wed., March 24 at 3:30 p.m.
