Shocks Shut Out by Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona swept the two-game series with Wichita State by taking game two 19-0.

Erik Harbutz went 2-for-4 for the Shockers while Preston Springer, Ryan Jones, Tyler Grimes and Kevin Hall each had a hit.  Starter Tim Kelley took the loss to fall to 2-1 on the year.

The Wildcats jumped out in the first with five runs on six hits off of Shocker starter Tim Kelley.  UA added another two unearned runs in the second to increase the lead to 7-0.

Four more Wildcat hits in the fourth inning led to three more runs to give them a 10-0 advantage.  They tacked on another run in the sixth and an unearned run in the seventh to put them up 12-0.  UA made the final score 19-0 with seven more in the eighth.

The Shockers are next in action on Fri., March 19 when they host Washington State for a three-game series.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
