Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - No. 20 Wichita State (11-2, 2-1) fell in five sets at Missouri State. The Bears won by scores of 22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, and 15-6.
Emily Stockman had a career-high 27 kills for WSU, while also adding 12 digs.
Mary Elizabeth Hooper had 58 assists and
Melissa Granville had 26 digs.

Sarah McGee kill put the Shocks up 12-8 in the first set and a kill by
Amanda Backes increased the lead to 20-14. A service ace by the Bears pulled them to within 24-20 and back-to-back kills made the score 24-22.
Emily Stockman ended the MSU rally with a kill to give WSU a 25-22 win.
The teams traded points early in the second set until the Bears grabbed a 14-11 lead. MSU increased it to 16-11 with a kill and the Shockers never recovered as the Bears won 25-18.
Nine kills by Stockman powered the Shockers to a 17-8 lead in the third set. The Bears pulled to within 19-14 after a Shocker hitting error, but WSU held on to win 25-22.
The Bears raced out to an early 7-2 lead in the fourth set and never looked back in the 25-18.
MSU started the fifth set the way they started the fourth by taking a commanding 8-3 lead. The Bears went on to win the set 15-6.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Oct. 2 at Creighton.
